Ministerial Visit at An Faill, Cul Ard, Carrigtwohill

The Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government Mr. Eoghan Murphy TD visited at An Faill, Cul Ard, Carrigtwohill on 29 September 2017. An Faill consists of 29 houses with a mixture of three bedroom semi-detached and 2 and 3 bedroom terraced properties. This scheme was approved by the Department in June 2016 with construction commencing in August 2016. Speaking at the visit, Minister Murphy highlighted how turnkey housing is working, “An Faill is a key example of how turnkey housing can expedite the delivery of social housing in areas of high demand while also stimulating the local construction market’.

Works to University Hospital Kerry complete

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd have completed works on behalf of the Health Service Executive to Kerry General Hospital.  The works included the refurbishment and fit out of the surgical theatres were works were mainly carried out at night and at weekends to strict project programmes so as to allow for theatres to continue to operate on a day to day basis and all surgeries to continue as planned.

New SuperValu Store Commenced

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd have commenced works on behalf of O’Keeffe’s SuperValu Bantry to construct a new state-of-the-art SuperValu store.  This project involves the construction of a two storey retail outlet with ancillary offices and car park overhead.  The ground floor encompasses an area of 3,300 sq.meters accommodating the supermarket, delivery area and storage facility.

Prosys Sampling Systems Ltd

Works have completed at Prosys Sampling Systems Ltd. Construction works included an extension to the existing light industrial building of 10,000 sq. ft and associated site works.

 

Pilz Ireland

The Pilz Ireland project entails the demolition of an existing structure and the construction of a 2 & 3 storey office/technology building linking to the clients existing premises totalling 25,000 ft2 to accommodate their Software Product Research and Development Centre.

Theatre Works at Kerry General Hospital

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd were awarded the contract for the refurbishment and fit out of surgical theatres within a live hospital environment at Kerry General Hospital on behalf of the Health Service Executive. Works will be carried out mainly in the periods at night and at weekend in dust controlled work areas to protect the patients from risk of infection and to avoid interface with the day to day running of the theatre suite. There will be four theatres in total refurbished over a six month period.

New Bakery at Aldi Store, Wilton

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd were contracted by Aldi Stores (Ireland) Limited to construction a new bake off room and meeting room and associated site works at their Wilton Store, Cork.

Minister Simon Harris visits at Bandon Community Hospital

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd are delighted to have be awarded the contract for Bandon Community Hospital in June 2016. This multi-million project is set to upgrade the current facilities to ensure the hospital meets all HIQA standards, adding to its current “centre of excellence” status. The upgrade will comprise of 25 beds, of which 80% will be single ensuite rooms with the remainder being twin ensuite rooms and a palliative care room. An increase in communal space will ensure the hospital meets the expected HIQA residential standards. This communal space will consist of two Sitting rooms, a Dining room, two smaller sitting areas plus a small meeting room. The developments of two outdoor areas, which will be enclosed and secure, are also incorporated into the scheme.
Minister Simon Harris was on site on Monday 26 September 2016 to officially turn the sod on the works beginning in Bandon Community Hospital

Regus Office Fitout at Phoenix House

This project consisted of the Internal fit out and refurbishment of existing office space which included the erection of stud partition walls, suspended ceilings, mechanical and electrical fit out, interior decorating and painting, floors and ceilings and interior furniture of the existing offices space  over basement, 1st floor, 2nd floor, 3rd floor and 4th floor.
