Works have completed at Presentation Brothers College, Mardyke, Cork

Works have completed at Presentation Brothers College located at the Mardyke in Cork in association with the Board of Management and Kelly Barry O’Brien Whelan. Works consisted of a new locker room extension incorporating an entrance lobby to the existing Sports Hall and the creation of a new pedestrian entrance. These works were carried out in a ‘live’ school environment with over 670 pupils in attendance and staff using the building on a daily basis. These works will be carried on a phased basis.

Windfarm extension works commenced

Further extension works have commenced to Ballybane Windfarm.  Works to include the installation of 2 Nr. Enercon E70 wind turbines including the provision of in-situ bases, steel fixing, concrete pouring and finishing.  Adjustment works will be required to the existing substation to allow for a new switching station and upgrading of controls.

Hospital works commence on behalf of the Health Service Executive

Murnane & O’Shea Limited, Co. Cork has commenced work on the internal refurbishment works to Kinsale Community Hospital on behalf of the Health Service Executive to provide 1 no. single bedroom ward, 1 no. 2 bedroom ward and 2 no. 3 bedroom wards with en-suite facilities, new single storey extension to east elevation, extension to north elevation including new main entrance and associated external works along with associated internal circulation space, together with all associated site development works.

New Courtyard Laboratory at Teagasc, Moorepark, Fermoy, Co. Cork

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd are currently carrying out the construction of the extension to the Courtyard Laboratory and Offices. Teagasc proposes to further develop the Animal & Grassland Research and Innovation Centre with the development of a single storey extension (in 2 phases) infill building in existing courtyard to include two no. laboratories, hot desks/write up areas and circulation area and all associated site works.  Construction work is expected to take 5 months to complete.

Works have completed at Rooskagh, Shanagarry

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd have completed works on the housing units in Rooskagh, Shanagarry on behalf of the Receiver, Ernst & Young. Works consisted of a full internal fit out,  mechanical & electrical installations and external landscaping works.

Construction works commence at Rooskagh, Shanagarry, Co. Cork

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd have commenced works on the completion of housing units in Rooskagh, Shanagarry on behalf of the Receiver, Ernst & Young.

Construction works complete at new Aldi Store, Kenmare, Co. Kerry

Murnane & O’Shea have completed the construction works at Kilmurry, Kenmare, Co.Kerry for a new retail food store for Aldi Stores (Ireland) Limited.  This project included a total of 1,140m² retail floor space, 405m² goods storage area & delivery loading bays, 4,000m² brick-paved car park, In-situ precast foundations, Precast and Pre-finished, concrete load bearing wall panels, Full shop fit-out including office area and staff facilities, Cold Room installation and refrigeration and landscaping to all external areas.  This project completed on time and on budget.

Works complete at Ballybane Windfarms

Final commissioning works have been completed and the extension to the existing windfarm is fully operational and working at full capacity two months ahead of the construction programme schedule.  Works included the installation of 6 Nr. Enercon E70 wind turbines including the provision of in-situ bases, steel fixing, concrete pouring and finishing.  Adjustment works were required to the existing substation to allow for a new switching station and upgrading of controls.

Works continue at 13.80MW Windfarm

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd have completed all civil enabling works and the installation of the Section 5′s for the turbine bases.  All turbines are now fully commissioned with a view to project completion by June 2015, which is two months ahead of the construction programme schedule.
