It is recognised by Government and public bodies across the country as the representative body and voice of the construction industry in Ireland and a Social Partner.

Works at Ardu Facility Complete

Works have completed at the purpose built development facility which is for both children and adults with special needs and will provide custom built accommodation for the West Cork Child Development Service and CoAction Adult Supports.

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd, have officially launched their new website which is more closely aligned with the company’s strategic vision for growth and expansion over the next decade, and beyond.  We have stayed in business for over fifty years by listening to our clients and building one on one relationships.  We are an established construction company with core values, but we also recognise the importance of constantly innovating and this new website offers a clean, modern design, easy to navigate functionality, and a content-rich site experience showcasing our works completed to date

Works at Gaelscoil Uí Ríordáin at completion

Works  to the new sports playing pitches have been completed along with the construction of masonry boundary walls, fencing, lighting, lining and signage.

Windfarm Extension works continue

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd are the main contractors and PSCS for the construction of a 13.80 MW wind farm extension on a sloped mountain top site in West Cork.  Works included the provision of 3,000m of trenching for ESB ducts including temporary and permanent reinstatement of roads, provision of 30,000 m3 of hardcore for roads to turbines and all other necessary works including tree surgery, street furniture removal and road widening.  Murnane & O’Shea Ltd have completed all civil enabling works and the next phase of the project has commenced with the installation of the Section 5′s for the turbine bases.

New Aldi Foodstore under construction at Kenmare, Co. Kerry

Murnane & O’Shea have commenced works at Kilmurry, Kenmare, Co.Kerry for the construction of a new retail food store for Aldi Stores (Ireland) Limited.  This project will include:

  • 1,140m² retail floor space
  • 405m² goods storage area & delivery loading bays
  • 4,000m² brick-paved carpark
  • In-situ precast foundations
  • Precast and Prefinished, concrete load bearing wall panels
  • Full shop fit-out including office area and staff facilities
  • Cold Room installation and refrigeration
  • Landscaping

It is envisages that this project will take six months to complete.

Works progressing at the Ardu Facility, a special needs facility for CoAction

This new €2.1 million purpose built development facility is for both children and adults with special needs and will provide custom built accommodation for the West Cork Child Development Service and CoAction Adult Supports.  Works are progressing well on this site which was quite restricted for access and required deep excavation works adjacent to existing buildings.  Works completed to date include paving, preparation for tarmac, second fix mechanical and electrical works, second fix carpentry, specialist joinery has been fitted and lifts have been installed.

Works commence at Gaelscoil Uí Ríordáin, Ballincollig, Cork

Works have commenced on behalf of the Board of Management at Gaelscoil Uí Ríordáin on the construction of new sports playing pitches.  This project will include site preparation, excavation, grading, soil disposal, prepare and lay astroturf on the playing pitches.  Other works include the construction of masonry boundary walls, fencing, lighting, lining and signage.  

Office Fit Out at Phoenix House, Monahan Road, Cork

Fit out works have commenced at the offices at Phoenix House, Monahan Road.  These works involve a full fit-out to the fourth floor to include raised access floors, suspended ceilings, full mechanical and electrical fit out and external works to the existing facade.

Fit out works at the Tannery, Bandon, Co. Cork

 

The Tannery situated in Bandon, Co. Cork is a new development consisting of 24 Houses ranging from Two Bedroom Terraced Houses to Three Bedroom Semi-Detached Houses to 4 Bedroom Detached.  Through a private tender process, Murnane & O’Shea Ltd, were awarded this contract by Kavanagh Fennell, the Receivers to complete this unfinished housing estate and provide them with a full turnkey solution which included a complete fit out of each property and all associated site works.
