Works progressing at Gaelscoil Ui Riordan, Ballincollig

Construction activity on the new sports pitch at Gaelscoil Ui Riordan is progressing very well, assisted by the good weather we have enjoyed in late summer and autumn this year.  Works completed to date include the new car park facility with lighting, new palisade fencing, gates, kerbing and access ramps for the new sports pitch.  Civil engineering works continue with the preparation for the construction of the masonry boundary walls.

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd are delighted to announce Safe T Cert Accreditation

Following recent site audits by Safe T Cert, Murnane & O’Shea Ltd are delighted to announce that the company has been awarded its Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) Safe-T-Cert accreditation. Safe­-T-­Cert is a certification scheme designed for certifying the Safety Management Systems of contractors working in the construction industry. The Scheme’s objective is to improve health and safety management by providing objective standards and certifying those contractors whose safety management systems have been assessed, meet the requirements for training and competence, demonstrate the implementation of an occupational health and safety management system which meets the requirements of SafeTCert standard – incorporating continual improvement and addresses relevant national legislation. 

Civil Works at Aras Slainte, Wilton, Cork

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd., have commenced works to the existing car park which accomodates 130 car spaces at the HSE Offices at Aras Slainte, Cork.  Works include the removal of tarmac, drainage and ducting lines.  New foul and sewer services to be laid which encompasses new connections to public mains and new attentuation services.  A new external electrical fit out is also required to include new access control barriers and CCTV camera’s.

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd., are delighted to announce their 2014 registration on the Heritage Contractors Register of Ireland. Over the last number of years, our skilled workforce have been achieving successful outcomes for various conservation and restoration projects in Ireland. We look forward to working on many more heritage projects in the future.

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd commence works on State of the Art Special Needs Facility

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd were appointed as building contractors for the new State of the Art Special Needs Facility being built for Co Action in Clonakilty.  This new €2.1 million purpose development facility is for both children and adults with special needs and will will provide custom built accommodation for the West Cork Child Development Service and CoAction Adult Supports.

The project, which will take twelve months to complete, is one of the largest development programmes undertaken by CoAction West Cork and Murnane & O’Shea Ltd are delighted to be involved.  The facility when compled will provide purpose built accommodation as well as a range of supports including therapy and family rooms for children, a drop in area with computer access and coffee dock, a training room with IT equipment for use by CoAction and the wider community, life skills training area, meeting rooms and office space.

New Residential Properties at Ballincollig

Murnane & O’Shea have commenced works on two new architecturally designed one off houses in Ballincollig, Co. Cork.  Internal finishes will include polished concrete floors, aluclad windows, air to water geothermal units with associated heat pumps and solar panels.  On completion, both of these houses will be A Rated.
