Works completed at COPE Foundation, Clonakilty

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd., are delighted to announce works have been completed at the COPE Foundation, Clonakilty. The COPE Foundation in Clonakilty provides a workshop that provides a range of activities including training, work, social and recreational along with a Community hostel providing 7 day residential accommodation. This project consisted of an extension, modifications and refurbishment to the Cope Foundation Building and the provision of additional car parking spaces and signage.

Cork University Hospital – Interim Acute Medical Unit Project Complete

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd., are delighted to announce that works are completed on the Interim Acute Medical Unit at Cork University Hospital. This project was the redevelopment of approximately 546msq of the existing Day Procedures Unit, located on the first floor of the existing hospital campus above the existing Accident and Emergency Department.

The Heritage Contractors of Ireland Register

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd., are delighted to announce that they have been selected to join the Heritage Contractors Register of Ireland. Over the last number of years, our skilled workforce has been delivering the traditional building trades for the conservation and restoration of heritage properties in Ireland and it is a great honour to be recognised for our work. Heritage Award Win at Opus 2010

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd., are delighted to announce that they have won the Heritage Category for the Skibbereen Credit Union project at the Opus 2010 Architecture and Construction Awards. This project followed good conservation practice in distinguishing between the existing structure and the addition. This is a tremendous achievement and congratulations goes to the whole team involved and special accreditation to Mike Shanahan & Associates, the architectural firm involved in the project.

Works at Cork University Hospital

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd., are delighted to announce that works have commenced on site in Cork University Hospital on 13th September 2010. We are currently completing two separate projects at this location. The first project is a new Cystic Fibrosis, Diabetes and Rheumotology facility and the other project is a new Interim Acute Medical Unit for the Health Service Executive. Works are being carried out in a ‘live’ hospital environment and the project programme for both of these is 14 weeks.

Loher Ward at Kerry General Hospital

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd. have just completed the refurbishment works to the Loher Ward at Kerry General Hospital in Tralee. Works included the internal refurbishment to the existing ward and a complete new mechanical & electrical upgrade.

University College Cork – Aras Na Laoi

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd. are delighted to announce that contracts have been signed with University College Cork for the proposed works to the existing Aras Na Laoi Building. Works will include the internal refurbishment and decoration of the existing Law Department lecture theatre on the ground floor with new electrical installation. Accessibility upgrade works comprising of external ramps and paths. Internal reconfiguration works to offices, lecture rooms etc.

Garvey’s SuperValu – Works completed

Works have just completed on the Deli/Bakery area of Garvey’s SuperValu in Listowel, Co. Kerry. Internal refurbishment works included a complete revamp of the existing food preparation area, new electrical installation works and decoration. The project was delivered on time and on budget.

Lidl Ireland GMBH

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd., have completed refurbishment works at the Lidl Branch in Skibbereen, Co. Cork. External works included resurfacing and re-lining of the existing carpark, repairing and cleaning of gullies and downpipes and installation of new bin cage at delivery area. Internal works included painting, brickwork repairs, floor and wall tiling, pest proofing, BUC crash protection, insulation, new sanitary ware and canteen services.
