Murnane & O’Shea Ltd., are delighted to announce the completion of the works at Ballingeary GAA Clubhouse. The works included a new Indoor Hurling Arena, Dressing Rooms and Shower Facilities, all at ground floor level. First floor level consisted of Meeting Rooms, Board Room, Canteen/Catering Facilities, and toilets.

One-Off Housing 2011

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd. have completed a number of one off housing projects throughout the year of 2011. A selection of these houses completed over May, June & July include Ormonde House, Baltimore which incorporated a copper roof, The Clune McCarthy Houses which were offset over the shoreline in Baltimore and finished with stone and the Bushe House also in Baltimore with cedar cladding.

Works Completed at the ARA Facility at Cork University Hospital.

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd., are delighted to announce that works are now complete at the ARA Facility in CUH. This project involved the refurbishment of the existing ARA building located at Cork University Hospital. The building is located at the South East corner of the hospital adjacent to the entrance of the In Patients/A&E Department. The project involved constant communication and co-operation with the Cork University Hospital Maintenance Department to ensure the seamless isolation and re-connection of numerous utilities during the demolition and subseqent renovation of the ARA unit.

COPE Foundation, Mayfield & Murnane & O’Shea Ltd.

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd., have successfully completed the construction works at the new COPE Foundation building in Mayfield, Cork. COPE have provided an excellent residential and day care facility for children and adults with intellectual disability and this new facility enhances the work that COPE do through its systems of early intervention, schooling, training, adult day services , supported employment, housing, information and advice.

Works Completed at the COPE Foundation, Clonakilty

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd., are delighted to announce works have been completed at the COPE Foundation, Clonakilty. The COPE Foundation in Clonakilty provides a workshop that provides a range of activities including training, work, social and recreational along with a Community hostel providing 7 day residential accommodation. This project consisted of an extension, modifications and refurbishment to the Cope Foundation Building and the provision of additional car parking spaces and signage.

Cork University Hospital – Interim Acute Medical Unit Complete

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd., are delighted to announce that works are completed on the Interim Acute Medical Unit at Cork University Hospital. This project was the redevelopment of approximately 546msq of the exisitng Day Procedures Unit, located on the first floor of the existing hospital campus above the existing Accident and Emergency Department.

Kerry General Hospital – Ward Refurbishment

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd. have just started the refurbishment works to the Rathass Ward at Kerry General Hospital in Tralee. Works include the internal refurbishment to the existing ward and a complete new mechanical & electrical upgrade.

Opus Awards 2010 – Heritage Category

Murnane & O’Shea Ltd., are delighted to announce that they have won the Heritage Category for the Skibbereen Credit Union project at the Opus 2010 Architecture and Construction Awards. This project followed good conservation practice in distinguishing between the existing structure and the addition. This is a tremendous achievement and congratulations goes to the whole team involved and special accreditation to Mike Shanahan & Associates, the architectural firm involved in the project.

Co-Action Official Opening

On Friday 15th October 2010, the official opening of the refurbished Bantry Adult Services centre and administration headquarters of Co-Action West Cork took place. Murnane & O’Shea were delighted to be the main contractors involved in this project and would like to wish Co-Action every success in the future with the services provided to people with intellectual disabilities.
