RESPOND VHA!
Description:

These works involved the demolition of existing buildings on a brown field site adjacent to the main
Limerick road in Cork City and the construction of a new contemporary four storey over basement
building and the refurbishment of other adjacent apartments. The overall gross floor area of the
works was circa 53,000 sq ft.

Main Features:
Works involved the construction of a fourth floor on top of the existing 3 storey block of apartments
including structural alterations within the existing building.

Works were carried out at the intersection of two of Cork city’s most busiest junctions which required intricate phasing to avoid disruption locally.

In-situ concrete basement was constructed to form a podium slab which provided the landscaping
for the central courtyard.
