Opus Awards 2010 – Heritage Category
Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010Murnane & O’Shea Ltd., are delighted to announce that they have won the Heritage Category for the Skibbereen Credit Union project at the Opus 2010 Architecture and Construction Awards. This project followed good conservation practice in distinguishing between the existing structure and the addition. This is a tremendous achievement and congratulations goes to the whole team involved and special accreditation to Mike Shanahan & Associates, the architectural firm involved in the project.

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010Murnane & O’Shea Ltd., are now registered contractors on the SEAI Registrered List of Contractors under the Home Energy Saving Scheme. This scheme provides assistance from the SEAI by way of fixed grants towards the costs of implementing upgrade measures. The types of measures currently elegible under this scheme are roof insulation, wall insulation, high efficiency boilers and heating control upgrades. Further information is available on www.seai.ie
COPE Foundation, Clonakilty – Extension Works
Thursday, February 25th, 2010Murnane & O’Shea Ltd. are delighted to announce that contracts have been signed for the above project with the COPE Foundation. Works will include internal demolitions to existing structures, internal alterations, new single storey extension, upgrading of m&e services and site ancillary works. Works are due to commence in March 2010.
St. Matthews Church – Conservation Works
Thursday, February 25th, 2010Murnane & O’Shea Ltd. in association with Jack Coughlan Associates & The Fanlobbus Union of Parishes began works on St. Matthews Church, Drimoleague. Works included roof slating and associated roof repair works. This Church is a protected structure (RPS. No. 00963). Works began in January 2010 and should be completed for March 2010.
